If you want to clean the washing machine, you need about an hour. Does the laundry have a strange smell when the machine has just finished? First try to run the machine at 90 degrees, without wax. You can use a scoop of soda for this, and the high temperature (which is NOT suitable for certain types of clothing) prevents grease lice. Ideally, you should do this twice a month, but to get it into your system, for example, start by washing towels or cotton bed linen at 90 degrees every now and then.

Clean the cuff edge well with kitchen paper or toilet paper. The so-called grease louse here is what you are left with after many washes at a low temperature where the body fats, hair and skin flakes on the laundry come into contact with the detergent. The name has nothing to do with lice or other insects, but it can have a negative side effect on your laundry in the form of stains and a bad smell. Even if you don’t feel like cleaning the washing machine thoroughly every time, it is advisable to remove the grease louse from the cuff edge more often. Does the washing machine  not drain completely  or does the laundry seem wetter than normal? This can also be caused by lice, so keep an eye on this.

Do you have a  dishwasher ? Then use 2 dishwasher tablets to prevent grease lice. You put them in the soap dish and you then run a program (no laundry!) ​​at 90 degrees. The anti-grease agent in the dishwasher tablets also prevents grease in the washing machine. For an optimal result, you can also use the special  AEG washing machine cleaning products  or view our cleaning products in the webshop.

It does not matter whether you choose soda, a dishwasher tablet or natural vinegar, but do not use combinations of these agents.
